The Director of Sales & Marketing for Delta Hotels Southlake is responsible for the comprehensive planning and management of sales and marketing strategies for a full-service hotel. This role is pivotal in achieving optimal occupancy growth by nurturing existing accounts and generating new business opportunities, all aimed at maximizing total revenue and meeting or exceeding the hotel's profit objectives. The Director will oversee the daily operations of the hotel sales division, which includes direct sales efforts, follow-up, and proper sales administration and training. This position requires the Director to recommend the sales forecast, marketing strategies, advertising plans, and annual budget for the hotel, ensuring alignment with approved plans and budgets. As an exempt associate, the Director is expected to work as much of each workday as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities, with a focus on administrative, executive, or professional tasks that require discretion and independent judgment for more than 50% of the time. The role demands a proactive approach to sales, including conducting outside sales calls, sales tours, and client entertainment to maximize revenue. The Director will also develop and implement the division's annual budget and marketing plans, ensuring that the hotel meets or exceeds management and owner revenue and profit goals. A strong understanding of market trends and the ability to predict revenue opportunities is essential, as is the capacity to train hotel staff on recognizing and capitalizing on sales opportunities. The Director will also manage human resources within the division, focusing on attracting, retaining, and motivating employees, and will supervise the Catering & Event Management Team to ensure budgetary goals are met. This position requires strong visibility in the local community and industry organizations, as well as the ability to maintain professional relationships with marketing partners and internal departments.
