About the position

The Sales Director for Fibre at Metsä Group will be responsible for overseeing logistics and supply chain operations related to inland deliveries from US ports. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring delivery capacities, and managing stock levels while supporting warehouse inspections and addressing customer claims. The position emphasizes proactive customer service and requires a strong ability to work in an international environment.

Responsibilities

  • Cooperate with ports and inland logistics providers through visits and meetings.
  • Follow up and coordinate daily inland deliveries from US ports, securing delivery capacities.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate with other supply chain teams.
  • Support warehouse inspections and physical inventory checks as agreed.
  • Handle warehouse-specific tasks where applicable.
  • Conduct port visits in case of damaged lots.
  • Gather information related to customer claims and operative customer inquiries.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree or proven experience in supply chain related positions.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP and MS Office tools and applications is an advantage.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  • Understanding and following defined work-flow processes.
  • Proactive customer service and team-oriented attitude.
  • Experience in inland logistics.
  • Independent problem solver.
  • Comfortable working in an international environment.
  • Stress resistant and able to balance multiple priorities.
  • Good administrative and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to travel 80%.
