About the position

The Director of Sales Operations for the Great Plains Area at US Foods plays a strategic role in driving commercial success by executing sales strategies, coaching leaders, and partnering with the Commercial Excellence team. This position is responsible for leading the Area Sales Support team, optimizing sales processes, and ensuring effective training and event management to enhance sales productivity and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Area Sales Support team to drive critical KPIs and maximize share and retention opportunities.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise the Area Sales Support team, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Leverage internal reporting tools and market share data to track progress and identify performance improvement opportunities.
  • Translate strategy into Area implementation plans and track performance on key metrics.
  • Streamline and optimize sales processes to improve sales productivity and performance.
  • Work closely with Sales Leaders to strategize and implement training for the sales team.
  • Promote and track the advancement of internal CRM utilization and external E-Commerce adoption.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years in sales, sales operations, or sales management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience in sales, sales operations, merchandising, marketing, or strategy-related fields.
