About the position

The Director, Sales Operations US will oversee and lead the US Sales Operations team in driving key business insights, incentive compensation, sales reporting, operational excellence, and strategic programs for our US commercial teams. This position is critical in leading key initiatives that support our continued growth trajectory in the region, as well as supporting the Senior Director, Global Sales Operations in standardizing processes, improving efficiencies, and leveraging capabilities worldwide. The role requires a passionate, inspirational leader who can align their organization behind a clear vision and strategy while challenging the status quo. The Director will be a key member of the Commercial Leadership Team, providing support and leadership to drive overall regional success. Additionally, this role will involve the development and assessment of sales analytics and productivity metrics for the sales team to drive insights, improve efficiency, and deliver growth. The Director will also be responsible for managing a team of talented sales operations professionals through goal setting, performance management, and career development.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the strategy for the sales operations function to drive achievement of the corporate annual operating plan and long-term strategic imperatives in collaboration with the Commercial leadership team.
  • Be a key member of the Commercial Leadership Team providing support and leadership to drive overall regional success.
  • Critical member of the Global Sales Operations Leadership team to help standardize processes and leverage systems globally to drive efficiency and scalability.
  • Lead the development and assessment of sales analytics and productivity metrics for the sales team to drive insights, improve efficiency and deliver growth.
  • Develop, implement, and execute incentive compensation plan aligned to achieve corporate strategy.
  • Manage a team of talented sales operations professionals through goal setting, performance management, and career development.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business, Finance or another related field; MBA a plus.
  • At least 10+ years of experience working in a Sales Operations leadership role.
  • At least 5 years of that experience working on projects related to Sales process improvement.
  • At least 5 years leading a department and/or large-scale project teams.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, coaching and development skills.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills are critical.
  • Strong organizational skills, ideally leveraging technology and innovation.
  • Experience in the healthcare, pharma or medical device industry or contact center.
  • Strong computer skills - particularly Excel, Word, & PowerPoint products.
  • Ability to work in a deadline focused, dynamic environment, consistently producing timely and accurate deliverables.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with incentive compensation plans.
  • Familiarity with sales analytics tools and methodologies.
  • Experience in managing remote teams.
