About the position

The Sales Director for Provider Data Management - Credentialing at symplr is a pivotal role focused on leading a team of sales professionals dedicated to driving business growth and optimizing customer accounts. This position requires a strong background in selling provider credentialing solutions, as the director will be responsible for mentoring and developing team members to ensure they meet their sales targets effectively. The role is remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong focus on results and team collaboration. In this position, the Sales Director will manage a healthy sales pipeline across all stages, ensuring consistent results through new sales, upsell opportunities, cross-sell opportunities, and strategic partnerships. The director will work closely with Account Executive counterparts to enhance overall sales execution within a matrixed sales organization. Proactive leadership is essential, as the director will be expected to develop and maintain comprehensive sales plans that outline strategies for meeting sales targets on an ongoing basis. The role also emphasizes the importance of ongoing training and professional development for team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Sales Director will provide accurate revenue forecasts and play a key role in hiring and retaining top talent, all while promoting a healthy team culture. Additionally, the director will engage in strategic initiatives and manage the team's travel and expense budget, ensuring alignment with business goals. The position requires collaboration with various internal teams, including product development and marketing, to find consensus-based solutions that benefit both the customer base and the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and development for team members.
  • Manage a healthy sales pipeline to drive consistent results, including new sales, upsell opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Account Executive counterparts to enhance sales team execution within a matrixed organization.
  • Develop and maintain sales plans outlining how sales targets will be met.
  • Offer ongoing training and professional development opportunities for team growth.
  • Provide accurate revenue forecast projections monthly and as requested.
  • Hire and retain top talent for sales team roles while promoting a healthy team culture.
  • Engage and support key strategic initiatives, partnerships, and related projects.
  • Manage the team's travel and expense budget per plan.
  • Coordinate national business meetings with the CM leadership team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience selling products in the healthcare market.
  • Credentialing industry knowledge required.
  • 4+ years of experience managing a team.
  • Experience in healthcare services or SaaS technology sales preferred.
  • Ability to travel for lead cultivation, client meetings, and tradeshows.
  • Demonstrated successful track record in healthcare sales.
  • Ability to foster positivity in a team environment and demonstrate superior teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with computer applications, sales tools, and SaaS business applications.
  • Excellent time management, resource organization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization.
