The Director of Sales at VelocityEHS is a pivotal role designed to enhance the performance of the Mid-Market and Enterprise Sales teams. This remote position is open to candidates across the United States and Canada, allowing for a flexible work environment while still requiring some travel for customer engagements and leadership meetings. The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sales, capable of driving results and fostering a high-performance culture within the sales organization. In this role, the Director of Sales will be responsible for empowering their team to meet or exceed sales targets, increasing deal velocity, and ensuring effective navigation through the sales process from prospecting to closing. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Account Management, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product, to align efforts and drive sales success. Regular one-on-one meetings with managers will be conducted to provide guidance and support, ensuring that team goals and individual development plans are met. The Director will also implement performance reviews and management strategies to enhance team effectiveness and individual growth. A key aspect of this role is to help define and develop the company's Mid-Market Hunting strategy, leveraging sales technology such as Navigator, Outreach, and Salesforce to optimize processes and track performance. The Director will serve as a strategic partner to the VP of Sales and Chief Revenue Officer, regularly forecasting bookings with high accuracy and understanding industry-specific trends in both EHS and SaaS sales. Additionally, the Director will run Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for the leadership team and support their team in preparing for their own QBRs. The role also involves recruiting and developing a talent-rich team while leading through change and mentoring managers and sales representatives to achieve their sales objectives.
