About the position

The Director Sales is responsible for leading sales and retention efforts for large accounts or sales business units within Elevance Health. This role involves directing account sales activities, providing strategic leadership to ensure profitable growth, and developing effective sales strategies to achieve membership and financial goals. The position also focuses on staff development, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate account sales activities.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure profitable growth.
  • Develop strategies and execute sales plans to achieve membership growth and financial goals.
  • Develop and motivate staff to achieve common goals.
  • Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of direct reports.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional/leadership experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Excellent managerial and leadership skills strongly preferred.
  • Medicare experience strongly preferred.
