About the position

As Director of Translational Partnerships, you will develop and lead Precede's academic collaborations, with a strong focus on prostate cancer research. You will also oversee partnerships in other cancers and non-oncology areas, driving execution, ensuring scientific alignment, and delivering results. This is an opportunity to take ownership, build processes, and lead partnerships that push the boundaries of diagnostic innovation. The candidate will coordinate with our BioPharma business as well, and will work closely with the CSO, CMO and VP of Translational Sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage your network and credibility in prostate cancer research to identify, initiate, and grow impactful partnerships.
  • Manage academic collaborations across oncology and non-oncology, ensuring projects move forward efficiently and meet key milestones.
  • Oversee execution of different cancer strategies through collaborations to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Own end-to-end management of academic relationships, including scientific goals, contracting, timelines, execution and deliverables.
  • Maintain clear focus and momentum across multiple projects, ensuring seamless alignment with company goals.
  • Approach challenges with a solutions-first mindset and creativity to keep collaborations on track working a matrix organization.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize partnerships and ensure long-term success.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align partnerships with Precede's research priorities and pipeline.
  • Stay up to date on cutting-edge prostate cancer diagnostics and biomarkers to inform strategy. Other cancer strategies will be built over time.
  • Bring scientific rigor and operational excellence to partnerships across disease areas including non-oncology indications.
  • Establish processes and best practices that enable scalable, efficient management of academic partnerships as the company grows.

Requirements

  • MD, PhD, or equivalent degree in oncology, molecular biology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in translational science, clinical research, or academic partnerships, with at least 5 years leading collaborations.
  • Prostate cancer expertise is necessary, with demonstrated credibility (e.g., KOL relationships, collaborations, publications).
  • Ability to manage academic partnerships across multiple disease areas, ensuring successful execution beyond prostate cancer.
  • You see challenges as opportunities and maintain focus to deliver results in a fast-moving environment.
  • You think creatively to solve problems and keep programs progressing efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills to lead multiple projects and align stakeholders.
