About the position

The Director - Service Delivery/Client Account Management & Business Development (Public Sector) is a senior leadership role responsible for driving business growth and delivering technology services to local government clients. This position involves leading a team of consultants, managing client relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of projects while contributing to the overall business strategy. The role emphasizes collaboration, client satisfaction, and the development of innovative solutions to improve public services.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business from within existing and new accounts and develop a strong pipeline of prospective opportunities.
  • Lead a team of senior consultants and consultants in the delivery organization.
  • Guide proposal building and orals presentations to create business solutions based on client growth requirements.
  • Accountable for service delivery to assigned clients.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of opportunities within new and existing accounts according to assigned sales targets.
  • Be the driving factor in proposals and evolve solution offerings.
  • Provide leadership to a team of professionals, both direct reports and via global delivery.
  • Ensure success of engagements using global delivery and vendor partners.
  • Manage client satisfaction in partnership with account management teams.
  • Apply delivery and customer management best practices.
  • Contribute to business strategy and budget planning.
  • Manage profitability of engagements.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in leading medium to large IT services business.
  • At least 8 years of experience defining, selling and delivering business and information technology solutions.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing a P&L within a consulting organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement a growth strategy in a consulting services environment.
  • Results oriented business leader with solid understanding of budgets, forecasting, planning, P&L's, complex pricing models and contracts management.
  • Business development including strategic sales planning.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with C level client executives.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Ability to travel as required.
