About the position

MKTG S+E is seeking a Director of Social and Influencer Marketing who possesses a deep knowledge and passion for the sports industry. This role is pivotal in leading social and influencer-led campaigns across our diverse client roster. Reporting directly to the VP of Social and Influencer Marketing, the Director will oversee the entire process of social strategy and influencer campaigns, which includes strategy formulation, creative development, editorial calendar management, campaign execution, and performance reporting. The Director will serve as the primary contact for key accounts related to sponsorships in the sports and entertainment sectors, ensuring that all campaigns align with client objectives and industry standards. In this role, you will manage a growing team dedicated to multiple clients, fostering collaboration with sponsorship and consulting teams to guide social strategy and establish best practices. Additionally, you will work closely with production and creative teams to bring innovative ideas to life, ensuring that all campaigns are executed flawlessly. A significant aspect of this position involves achieving team revenue targets by organically expanding existing client engagements and spearheading new business opportunities and pitches. Staying abreast of social trends, content formats, and emerging platforms is crucial, as is the ability to manage projects effectively, create timelines based on priorities, and allocate resources efficiently. Budget management is another key responsibility, which includes overseeing invoicing and reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and accountability. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of the social media landscape within an agency context, and a proven track record in developing successful social and influencer campaigns. This position may require flexibility in working hours to accommodate business needs and client demands.

Requirements

  • Experience managing at least one direct report.
