As the Director of Social Media at Chegg, your primary goal will be to enhance the lives of students through innovative social media strategies. This role is pivotal in supporting the Brand Marketing team to achieve engagement, community growth, and foster deeper relationships with students. You will operate under the supervision of the Head of Brand and will be responsible for managing Chegg's presence across various social platforms, particularly focusing on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. This position offers a unique opportunity to build a social media vision from the ground up, ensuring that the brand maintains a strong presence while also engaging with current trends and cultural moments that resonate with our target audience. In this role, you will develop a comprehensive vision and strategy for Chegg's social media presence, aligning it with broader brand and business objectives. You will be tasked with delivering a social-first approach, creating engaging and timely content that encourages sharing among peers. Your responsibilities will include leading the messaging and content strategy to support various company initiatives, managing social media content calendars, and proactively ideating and creating content that reflects the brand's voice and values. You will also oversee analytics reporting, providing insights to teams and setting realistic project goals. Collaboration will be key, as you will work cross-functionally with teams such as Public Relations, Product, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure cohesive messaging. Additionally, you will mentor a Social Media associate, guiding them in best practices and content creation across platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and more. This role requires a deep understanding of social media dynamics, a passion for current culture, and the ability to adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of digital communication.
