About the position

As the Director of Social Media at R+CO, you will lead the charge in transforming the brand's digital landscape. Your mission is to captivate and engage the audience with innovative content that reflects R+CO's cutting-edge hair care products. You will manage a team of social coordinators and collaborate with marketing, creative, and product development teams to craft and execute strategies that resonate with the audience and amplify the brand's presence across all social platforms. Your passion, creativity, and strategic vision will be key in driving brand awareness and fostering deeper connections with the community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the brand's values and objectives.
  • Lead the creation of visually stunning and compelling content for social media channels, website, and other digital platforms.
  • Manage and inspire a team of social media and content creators, providing guidance and mentoring.
  • Manage and optimize the brand's presence on various social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter.
  • Foster and nurture relationships with the online community by responding to comments and encouraging user-generated content.
  • Ensure all content is consistent with the R+Co brand in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice.
  • Utilize analytics tools to track and analyze social media performance metrics and provide regular reports to the executive team.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar for a consistent brand presence across all digital platforms.
  • Stay current with hair care and social media trends to identify opportunities for innovative content and marketing strategies.
  • Manage the budget allocated to social media and content creation, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Ensure all content adheres to industry regulations and best practices for transparency and authenticity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5-7 years of experience in social media and content management within the beauty industry, ideally within professional hair care.
  • Strong understanding of social media algorithms, advertising, and digital marketing trends.
  • Exceptional creative and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for hair care and beauty trends.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of all current and emerging social media platforms.
