About the position

The Director of Software Application Development at KLA is responsible for leading a team of approximately 50 engineers across multiple global locations. This role focuses on overseeing the software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality software solutions are delivered to meet customer needs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the team. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to foster collaboration among cross-functional teams while managing budgets and resources effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the software development lifecycle from conception to deployment, implementing a rigorous agile framework embedded in a traditional gated product development process.
• Foster a collaborative environment and coordinate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet internal and external customer needs and company standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and adopt the latest technologies and methodologies.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation to optimize team performance and project delivery.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing engineering team, setting clear goals and expectations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software development management (at least 5 years)
