About the position

At Fidelity Enterprise Architecture (FEA), we are seeking an experienced User Experience Architect to drive end-to-end architecture for the Brokerage business domain. In this role, you will work directly with product teams across the retail investing space (brokerage accounts, managed services, banking services, etc.) and the workplace investing space (401ks, health-insurance related accounts, etc.) to design solutions that meet business priorities and initiatives. This position is pivotal as we are at a point of inflection at Fidelity, where our current Content Management System (CMS) utilizes headful content delivery, presenting challenges in risk control, speed to market, and overall satisfaction for developers and marketers alike. We are embarking on a modernization journey of our content system by transitioning to a headless architecture. This role will be very hands-on, driving the overall technical experience architecture of content into fidelity.com, both pre and post-login. You will be directly responsible for converting and modernizing our experiences to utilize our new CMS. This is a greenfield project and a multi-year effort, and we are looking for someone who can envision and guide our engineering and product organizations to deliver this new platform. You will collaborate across various product areas and multiple business units, influencing to ensure that the new web platform can be shared and consumed across all parts of the company. In general, we need a proven User Experience Architect who can lead and drive the end-to-end architecture of multiple teams in a complex space.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end architecture for the Brokerage business domain.
  • Work directly with product teams across retail and workplace investing spaces.
  • Design solutions that meet business priorities and initiatives.
  • Lead the modernization journey of the content system by moving to a headless architecture.
  • Convert and modernize user experiences to utilize the new CMS.
  • Collaborate across product areas and business units to ensure platform integration.
  • Influence engineering and product organizations to deliver the new platform.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in architecture, including scalability, resilience, security, and data architecture.
  • Experience in engineering web and/or mobile applications end-to-end, focusing on customer experience, scale, security, and performance.
  • Proficient in principles of API design and its applications.
  • Experience with enterprise API implementation, using REST and GraphQL (federation).
  • Ability to break down user interfaces into smaller reusable pieces and manage large-scale migrations.
  • Experience with reactive and functional programming concepts.
  • Experience building highly scalable architecture to support omnichannel experience platforms.
  • Familiarity with NX generator, executor creation, and dependency graphs within NX monorepos.
  • Experience using an enterprise CMS such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Sitecore, or Contentful in a headless fashion.
  • Knowledge of feature flags and A/B tests, personalization, image optimization and delivery, and internationalization (I18N) and translation strategies.
