About the position

The Director of Solutions Engineering at Crusoe Cloud will lead a team focused on enabling customers to deploy AI workloads effectively and efficiently. This role involves driving technical engagements, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring customer success through innovative solutions powered by stranded energy resources. The position is pivotal in shaping the future of Crusoe's AI infrastructure and aligning it with customer needs and company growth strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of domain experts providing technical guidance to customers.
  • Act as the primary technical subject matter expert for customer engagements.
  • Partner with customers to understand their needs and guide them through the deployment lifecycle.
  • Support pre-sales and post-sales efforts by collaborating with Sales and Business Development teams.
  • Optimize AI workloads for maximum performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to align technical strategies with business objectives.
  • Represent Crusoe at industry events and contribute to technical content development.

Requirements

  • Technical degree in computer science, math, engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in architecting, building, or operating cloud-based applications or infrastructures, focusing on AI/ML workloads.
  • Experience leading or managing technical teams with a focus on high performance.
  • Deep expertise in cloud technologies and infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
  • Professional cloud certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP Solutions Architect) or equivalent.
  • Customer-first mindset with a passion for driving customer success through technical solutions.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
