About the position

The position involves leading the organization and expansion of the footwear and apparel supply chain for New Balance's Made in USA product lines. The role focuses on developing strategies for near-shoring, friend-shoring, and on-shoring materials to enhance product delivery speed and quality. It requires collaboration with various departments to create a robust supplier network and optimize operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with VP Made, Sr Director Planning Ops, Director R D, Director Quality, and cross-functional peers to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities in the supplier network.
  • Create a Supplier Prospecting Process to address future material and commodity strategies driven by R D or supplier capabilities.
  • Manage supplier scorecards and agreements, and participate in new product development activities to expand supplier capabilities.
  • Develop cohesive visual plans on commodity supply and lead interactions to ensure supplier strategies meet product needs.
  • Optimize the use of data and systems (D365/o9) to drive results and transparency to the Made leadership team.
  • Utilize operational insights to partner with cross-functional groups to drive process efficiencies.
  • Lead quarterly supplier reviews and outline strategies to manage supplier health.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years in Footwear or Apparel Operations with 8+ years in Sourcing.
  • Specific knowledge of Global Supply Chains.
  • BA or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Operations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
