About the position

The Director of Strategic Finance Consulting at Embarc Advisors serves as a trusted advisor, providing high-quality consultation and guidance to clients in making critical business decisions. This role involves delivering strategic and financial analyses, managing projects, and ensuring quality assurance in all deliverables, with a focus on driving successful outcomes for clients across various industries.

Responsibilities

• Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with client's leadership and project counterparts.
• Acts as a credible advisor to clients and project teams, proactively identifying and meeting client needs.
• Develops and executes project work plans in partnership with supervisors and clients, making necessary adjustments.
• Manages project team members and client teams to deliver project goals efficiently and effectively.
• Ensures all work products meet Embarc's high standards of quality and prepares audience-appropriate materials.
• Provides updates and presentations to senior client leadership to enable decision-making.
• Leads recruitment, training, development, and retention of top-quality talent, fostering a positive work environment.
• Encourages a culture of continuous improvement through effective coaching and feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in corporate FP&A, strategic finance management, management consulting, or accounting, including 3 years of FP&A experience at a Public or PE-led Company and 1 year leading finance projects.
• Experience managing a finance team and projects, reviewing team deliverables, and establishing processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in both start-up environments and public companies in finance roles.
• Big4 Accounting experience.
• Experience with best-in-class FP&A / Strategic Finance practices.
