About the position

The Director, Strategic Pricing will be responsible for shaping and executing pricing strategies for FindLaw, a digital marketing solutions provider for smaller law firms. This role involves leading a team of analysts to develop pricing structures that optimize revenue while maintaining market competitiveness. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives and market dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute pricing strategies for digital marketing products and services, focusing on online legal directory listings.
  • Partner with Product to refine online directory pricing multiple times per year using performance, discount, and sales data.
  • Design and implement pricing models for different customer segments and value propositions.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify pricing opportunities and competitive positioning.
  • Monitor and analyze pricing performance metrics to optimize pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to understand customer needs and market demand.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to pricing analysts and cross-functional teams for effective execution of pricing initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement in pricing processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams for accurate pricing modeling and financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in pricing strategy, revenue management, or related fields, preferably in the digital advertising industry.
  • Deep understanding of digital advertising ecosystems, including programmatic, display, search, and social media advertising.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies that drive revenue growth.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and pricing optimization techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate complex concepts and influence stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends and identify growth opportunities.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
