About the position

The Director of Strategic Sourcing for Raw Materials and Components at EnerSys is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to support the Gigafactory project. This role focuses on supplier management, contract negotiation, and ensuring supply chain continuity for critical raw materials and components, playing a key role in operational success and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for raw materials and components aligned with the Gigafactory's objectives.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to build a reliable supply chain network.
• Foster and manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring adherence to agreed terms and driving continuous performance improvement.
• Negotiate and implement supplier agreements, managing key contractual issues and escalating challenges as needed.
• Partner with project managers to ensure supplier readiness for new product launches and transitions.
• Analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and execute corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align supply chain objectives with business goals.
• Collaborate with suppliers to enhance capabilities and drive innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree is a plus.
• At least 7 years of experience in global sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in raw materials or direct components.
• Proven experience negotiating supplier agreements and managing supplier performance.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills in a cross-functional, global environment.
• Excellent communication skills in written, verbal, and presentation formats.
