About the position

The Director of Strategic Sourcing is responsible for leading the sourcing organization at Prime Therapeutics, focusing on developing and executing sourcing strategies to manage supplier spend across various purchasing categories. This role collaborates with business leaders to adapt to the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring effective supplier management and contract negotiations while fostering long-term relationships with strategic suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine sourcing strategies in partnership with business leaders and Strategic Sourcing Leadership.
• Conduct activities related to evaluating, selecting, negotiating, and implementing supplier contracts.
• Standardize purchasing/sourcing tools and templates to enhance efficiency in the sourcing process.
• Manage team performance, development, and staffing needs while driving accountability and demonstrating leadership expectations.
• Develop and maintain a contract management database for tracking contract documents and key terms.
• Collaborate with Legal to ensure alignment with contract templates and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience.
• 8 years of strategic sourcing experience, including 3 years of vendor management experience.
• 5 years of leadership/people management experience.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills.
• Strong financial and analytical skills.
• Strong project management skills.
