About the position

The Director of Strategic Sourcing at Nexus Water Group is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to enhance procurement practices and achieve material savings across the organization. This role involves collaboration with various functional leaders and managing supplier relationships to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Category Strategy.
  • Identify sourcing opportunities and facilitate the RFI/RFP process.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage post-award rollout to the business.
  • Manage contract lifecycle for Tier 1 & 2 supplier relationships.
  • Liaise with Operations, Engineering, HSE, and IT to understand business needs.
  • Drive spend to preferred suppliers and agreements in SAP Ariba.
  • Develop business processes for supplier evaluation and selection.
  • Analyze opportunities for cost savings and price stability.
  • Lead competitive bid processes for commonly purchased goods and services.
  • Manage master service agreements with key service providers.
  • Draft commercial contracting language to drive economies of scale.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or global category management.
  • 8-10 years of progressive supply chain and sourcing experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain management, or similar program.
  • Certification as a Supply Chain Professional.
