About the position

The Director, Structured Finance - DG at TotalEnergies is responsible for leading and closing tax equity and debt financing for renewable energy projects, specifically focusing on commercial and industrial (C&I) projects. This role involves establishing relationships with investors and lenders, conducting financial modeling, and preparing presentations for senior management. The position requires a strong understanding of the renewable energy market and the ability to manage complex transactions effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and close tax equity and debt financing, raising over $100 million of new capital annually.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with tax equity investors, project finance lenders, law firms, and market consultants.
  • Negotiate, structure, and close tax equity and back leverage financings for DG projects.
  • Conduct financial modeling of Renewables DG projects to assess economic profitability.
  • Prepare internal committee presentations for senior management investment decisions.
  • Oversee attorneys and consultants during the closing process.
  • Lead investor meetings and outreach as the external face of the Renewables business.
  • Assist in securing PPAs matching pipeline development opportunities.
  • Build relationships with external stakeholders including public entities and investors.
  • Drive project progress by prioritizing key work streams and leading necessary steps.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of transaction experience in renewable energy or project finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business; master's degree preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience negotiating and modeling tax-advantaged transactions.
  • Capable of managing and leading complex transactions with multiple counterparties.
  • Robust quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Ability to advance multiple work streams simultaneously and autonomously.
  • Fluency in English and experience in a multi-cultural environment.
