About the position

The Director, Structured Finance at TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC is responsible for analyzing, coordinating, and implementing renewable energy development, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and financing opportunities. This role involves developing strong partnerships with financiers and equity partners to deliver effective financing solutions, while also leading complex transactions and managing multiple work streams autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and implement renewables development, M&A, and financing opportunities.
• Develop partnerships with financiers and equity partners.
• Negotiate, structure, and close tax equity and back leverage financings.
• Conduct financial modeling of renewable projects to assess economic profitability.
• Prepare internal committee presentations for investment decisions.
• Oversee attorneys and consultants during the closing process.
• Lead investor meetings and outreach as the external face of the Renewables business.
• Evaluate project bankability and assist in offtake agreement structuring.
• Secure Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) in coordination with local teams.
• Build relationships with external stakeholders including public entities and investors.
• Drive project progress by outlining and prioritizing key work streams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of transaction experience in renewable energy or project finance.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Experience negotiating and modeling tax-advantaged transactions.
• Robust quantitative and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage and lead complex transactions with multiple counterparties.
• Fluency in English and experience in a multi-cultural environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in power or energy markets.
• Familiarity with key drivers for negotiating financing terms.
