About the position

The Director - Supply Chain Finance will serve as a strategic partner to Supply Chain executive leadership, managing costs, planning, and execution in alignment with the strategic plan. This role involves addressing complex challenges and projects, requiring advanced problem-solving and leadership skills to influence the business holistically while providing guidance across the team. The position is hybrid, based in Newport News, VA, with a flexible schedule allowing for remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Shapes financial strategies and guides executive decision making.
  • Oversees financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management for a region or customer segment P&L.
  • Communicates financial results to executive leadership.
  • Provides financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and pivotal initiatives.
  • Evaluates and recommends investment opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
  • Leads financial activities related to distribution, fulfillment, logistics, and integrated planning.
  • Provides financial justification for proposed investments and assesses their potential impact.
  • Sets objectives and ensures team performance aligns with organizational goals.
  • Anticipates the impact of change and develops adaptive strategies.
  • Challenges and supports business decisions with analytical rigor and insights.
  • Handles multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related subject area.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 10-12 years of relevant financial experience, including Director Business Finance or Senior Finance Management roles.
  • Experience in Wholesale Distribution, Construction, Manufacturing, or Retail industries.
  • 5 years' experience leading teams and developing talent.
  • Strong partnership and communication skills to influence executive leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
