The Director of Supply Chain for Pet Nutrition North America at Archer Daniels Midland Company is a pivotal role responsible for establishing and leading a comprehensive Supply Chain organization that encompasses all supply chain processes for the PET Solutions and Animal Nutrition divisions. This position is critical for the success of these divisions and will involve leading various functions including Supply/Demand Planning, Customer Service, Distribution, Warehousing, and Logistics. The primary objective is to develop a robust Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process that effectively balances demand and supply, enhances warehousing and transportation processes, optimizes inventory management, and builds a talented supply chain team to deliver exceptional service to customers. The Director will own the S&OP process, ensuring that demand and supply planning are aligned with statistical sales forecasts from commercial and marketing teams. This role will also oversee production planning, working closely with operations and procurement teams to ensure timely supply of finished products while optimizing plant utilization to minimize costs. Additionally, the Director will lead customer service processes across all business units to meet service level agreements and manage inventory policies to balance financial expenses with service levels and risks. Furthermore, the Director will administrate transportation and logistics activities to ensure efficient product distribution, define import and export processes, and guarantee optimal operation of distribution centers. A key responsibility will be to define a Supply Chain Strategy and Roadmap with clear KPIs aligned with business strategies, while also being accountable for delivering supply chain costs within agreed targets. The role may also involve exploring alternative production solutions, such as third-party manufacturers, to meet quality standards and response times as needed.
