About the position

The Director of Supply Chain at Pitco Frialator LLC is responsible for overseeing all supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory management, supplier selection, and distribution of materials. This role involves developing strategic plans to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency within the supply chain, while managing budgets and supplier negotiations to ensure optimal pricing and timely supply of goods. The Director will lead a team of Supply Chain Buyers and Managers, ensuring effective support for various programs and proposals, and will utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and improve supply chain performance.

Responsibilities

  • Direct overall supply chain operations including purchasing, inventory, and supplier selection.
  • Develop strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of supply chain operations.
  • Create and manage short-term and long-term inventory budgets for efficient working capital management.
  • Negotiate with key suppliers to obtain optimal contracts and pricing.
  • Utilize data monitoring and analytics to evaluate performance and forecast inventory needs.
  • Lead, train, and develop a team of Supply Chain Buyers and Managers.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for Supply Chain leadership on various tasks and issues.
  • Evaluate and manage the supply chain structure to meet company profit objectives.
  • Ensure supply base meets competitive prices, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Develop corrective action plans with Quality Assurance and other departments to resolve supply issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Business, or a similar field.
  • 15+ years of operations/production experience, with at least 5+ years in a strategic sourcing or procurement role.
  • Proficient in supplier relationship management and supplier risk management.
  • Adept in total cost management and cost modeling.
  • Strong leadership principles and competencies.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills in a matrix environment.
  • Proficient in business and data analysis skills, familiar with MRP and ERP tools (Oracle, SAP).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Supply Chain certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and leadership in LEAN principles and practices.
  • Experience in maintaining a continuous improvement culture and LEAN manufacturing environment.
