About the position

The Director/SVP, Credit Sales - Financial Markets at Lloyds Banking Group is responsible for leading the U.S. sales team and managing a client book to ensure the successful distribution of Lloyds Securities Inc. (LSI) products to institutional investors. This role involves collaborating with various teams to facilitate bond issuance and trading activities, while maintaining a strong focus on client service and risk management. The position requires extensive experience in credit products and a deep understanding of the investment landscape, particularly in Investment Grade Corporate and Financial bonds.

Responsibilities

  • Handle and develop business relationships with investors trading Investment Grade Corporate and Financial bonds
  • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of client activities & requirements and ensure that products marketed by LSI are communicated to clients appropriately
  • Work alongside Bond Syndicate, DCM Corporate & FI and Credit Trading to distribute primary and secondary bond activity
  • Collaborate with London and Frankfurt Credit Sales & Trading teams to deliver the US franchise and Lloyds global franchise to US customers
  • Liaise with New York and London Credit traders to complete axes, understand investment themes, and communicate these positions to clients
  • Review changes in investor attitudes, ensuring suitable solutions are identified and the relationship is handled effectively
  • Record relationship/client details, client activities, and client transactions
  • Undertake duties aligned with the requirements of SEC, FINRA and all other regulators of LSI and its affiliates
  • Maintain appropriate SEC licenses and follow ongoing continuing education requirements.

Requirements

  • 10+ years proven experience in credit sales or related field
  • MBA or equivalent experience desired
  • FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses required
  • Proven track record of managing relationships with top-tier institutional investors
  • Strong understanding of KYC/AML/FACTA regulations
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to lead and influence others
  • Experience in developing strategies and delivering business results
  • Strong planning and control skills
  • Innovative problem-solving abilities

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with 'real money' investors
  • Knowledge of global credit trading and sales desk targets
