About the position

The System Director of Revenue Cycle Analytics is a pivotal leadership role at Aspirus, responsible for overseeing the planning, monitoring, and execution of strategic project implementations and revenue cycle process improvement activities. This position is crucial for driving organizational results by enhancing revenues and operational efficiencies across all Aspirus entities. The director will lead a department dedicated to tracking, maintaining the integrity of, and reporting on revenue cycle performance metrics. This role requires a deep understanding of revenue cycle processes and workflows to proactively identify and recommend improvement opportunities to operational leaders. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in revenue cycle operations, the director will facilitate best practices and ensure alignment with Aspirus' strategic plan while upholding quality and customer service standards. Additionally, the director will serve as an internal consultant, bridging clinical and revenue cycle areas to support quality patient care and revenue cycle objectives, all while ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of strategic project implementations related to revenue cycle resources.
  • Oversee revenue cycle process improvement activities to enhance organizational results.
  • Track and maintain the integrity of revenue cycle performance metrics.
  • Identify and recommend improvement opportunities to revenue cycle operational leaders.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for revenue cycle operations during strategic project implementations.
  • Integrate and facilitate best practices across all Aspirus entities.
  • Ensure departmental operations comply with relevant rules and regulations.
  • Act as an internal consultant for revenue cycle areas, supporting quality patient care and revenue cycle objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a health-related profession.
  • 2-3 years of management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle practices acquired through previous experience.
  • Experience with auditing and internal controls (preferred).
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and ancillary information technology systems.
  • Strong resourcefulness, innovation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and decision-making.
  • Capability to prioritize workload and manage frequent interruptions.
  • Experience in building, leading, and motivating cross-functional teams.
  • Project management, change management, and analytical skills.
  • Strong personnel management skills to direct and motivate staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of general business concepts and the regulatory environment.
