About the position

The Director, Technology - Product Management for Digital Merchandising at Williams-Sonoma is responsible for leading the development and execution of product strategies that enhance digital merchandising and web content management. This role encompasses various aspects of product management, including item creation, web publishing, and lifecycle management, aimed at driving growth and innovation in both digital and retail sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the product strategy for the digital merchandising experience that drives growth and innovation for our digital and retail business.
  • Lead a team of product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver exceptional customer experiences through our digital merchandising products.
  • Manage product budgets and timelines to ensure delivery on time and on budget.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product strategy, development, and launch plans.
  • Define and prioritize product features, requirements, and roadmap based on customer insights, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with internal stakeholders to create industry-leading digital merchandising solutions.
  • Stay informed and engage with emerging technology partners to leverage new technology for innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 12+ years related experience with 8+ years in product management, focusing on retail industry and technology.
  • Deep knowledge of retail merchandising and digital merchandising solutions and technology.
  • Proven track record of launching successful retail products and driving business growth.
  • Strong leadership and management skills to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, using data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Passion for customer experience and ability to create products that meet evolving needs using emerging technology.
