About the position

The Director of Technical Marketing - Motion Production is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and executing the technical marketing strategy for motion production products at FUJIFILM North America Corporation. This position requires a deep understanding of the technical features and benefits of motion production cameras and lenses, ensuring that these attributes are effectively communicated to target audiences. The Director will collaborate closely with product development, sales, and marketing teams to align technical marketing efforts with overall business objectives, driving product adoption and market growth. In this role, the Director will lead the technical aspects of product launches, creating essential documentation such as technical briefs, presentations, and demonstrations that highlight the capabilities of motion production products. The Director will also be responsible for developing high-quality technical content, including whitepapers, case studies, webinars, and videos, to educate potential customers and enhance engagement. As the primary technical liaison for key customers and partners, the Director will provide technical support, conduct training sessions, and ensure that all marketing materials maintain technical accuracy and consistency. Additionally, the Director will oversee field marketing initiatives, manage a team that includes the Senior Field Marketing Manager and Field Technicians, and ensure that all marketing activities align with the company's strategic goals. This role requires staying updated on the latest advancements in cinema camera technology and serving as the in-house expert, contributing to brand building through participation in industry events and maintaining relationships with influencers and media. Overall, the Director of Technical Marketing will play a crucial role in enhancing FUJIFILM's reputation as a leader in the motion production market, driving sales and brand awareness through effective technical marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive technical marketing strategies for motion production cameras and lenses.
  • Identify key technical features and benefits of motion production cameras and lenses and create compelling technical marketing messages.
  • Lead the technical aspect of product launches, including the creation of technical documentation, positioning documents, presentations, and demonstrations.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns that highlight the technical capabilities of motion production cameras and lenses.
  • Develop high-quality technical content, including whitepapers, case studies, webinars, and videos, to educate and engage potential customers.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison for key customers and partners, providing technical support and addressing inquiries.
  • Conduct technical training sessions and workshops for customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Analyze technical marketing performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with product development, sales, and marketing teams to ensure alignment of technical marketing efforts with product development and sales strategies.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in cinema camera and broadcast optics technology and industry standards.
  • Enhance the company's reputation as a leader in cinema camera and broadcast optics technology by participating in industry events and contributing to industry publications.
  • Oversee the execution of comprehensive field marketing initiatives to drive sales and brand awareness for motion production cameras and lenses.
  • Manage and provide leadership to the Senior Field Marketing Manager and the Field Marketing Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of industry experience; 8-10 years of motion production related experience.
  • Ability to research and analyze various types of data and make sound business judgments focused on achieving results.
  • Ability to prioritize work and sales opportunities.
  • Highly focused and results-oriented; able to identify goals and priorities and resolve issues in initial stages.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a close team environment, self-starter who can motivate others.
  • Understand how to closely manage and cultivate an ongoing pipeline for B-to-C and B-to-B sales channels.
  • Possess exceptional communication/interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving, and technical skills.
  • Proficient computer skills using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in the areas of sales and marketing.
