About the position
As a Director of Technical Program Management at Capital One Software, you will lead the development and delivery of innovative cloud and data management tools. This role involves overseeing a team of Technical Program Managers (TPMs) and ensuring the successful execution of complex programs that drive business impact. You will work collaboratively across various functions, leveraging your technical expertise to simplify complex challenges and foster a culture of accountability and results.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Technical Program Managers (TPMs).
- Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Drive execution and accountability across cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, design, and data science representatives to make informed decisions.
- Simplify complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
- Own the business or technical vision for large and complex programs.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in technical program management.
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
Nice-to-haves
- 7+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
- 3+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services, preferably AWS.
- 3+ years of experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms.
- 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery.
- 3+ years of experience delivering large and complex programs.
