About the position

The Director of Technical Solutions at Boldyn Networks is responsible for leading a regional Technical Solutions engineering team focused on deploying in-building DAS networks. This role involves collaborating with various business units to ensure customer and internal requirements are met while providing technical support to the sales team. The position requires a strong emphasis on developing partnerships, managing complex projects, and delivering advanced technical solutions to a diverse range of customers in the northeast region.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and lead an effective regional Technical Solutions engineering team.
  • Create partnerships and alliances with venues, carriers, OEMs, and integrators.
  • Support the sales team with technical responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support for DAS and Wi-Fi packages.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers for product development and design implementation.
  • Manage project scope, design requirements, and vendor selection.
  • Assist in qualifying leads and closing sales.
  • Coordinate with venues and carriers to review requirements and design needs.
  • Assist in establishing Engineering budgets for venue projects.
  • Support financial analyses of different solution options.
  • Manage benchmark data collection and provide analysis reports.
  • Conduct internal and external solution design reviews.
  • Manage overall design progress and provide final approval of designs.
  • Develop and refine Solutions and Engineering processes and standards.
  • Coach and mentor sales representatives on technical products.
  • Engage with OEMs and Carriers to evaluate emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited university; EE preferred.
  • Minimum of 6-9 years' experience in wireless telecommunications engineering, design, and development.
  • Minimum of 5 years DAS experience required.
  • Superior organizational skills and initiative to lead customer sales presentations.
  • Excellent closing skills with the ability to overcome objections.
  • Completed solution design experience with at least 4 different OEMs.
  • Demonstrated design experience with a variety of solutions such as DRAN, CRAN, oDAS, and fiber-to-the-edge platforms.
  • Experience with DAS and other wireless solutions deployment and integration preferred.
  • Strong account relationship skills and ability to work independently and with a team.

  • Experience with stadiums, arenas, performing arts venues, and hospitality locations.
  • Skilled negotiator with the ability to resolve issues independently.
