About the position

As the Director of Customer Data Architecture & Strategy at Western Union, you will lead the development and execution of customer data strategies that drive business growth and enhance customer experience. This role involves overseeing the entire customer lifecycle, from acquisition to retention, while ensuring compliance with data governance standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative data solutions and provide actionable insights that support business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the execution of customer data strategies that align with business objectives.
• Implement best practices in data quality, integrity, and compliance with global standards such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to create actionable customer insights, supporting business decisions through data-driven recommendations.
• Partner with various stakeholders to identify business requirements and drive cross-functional teams in the implementation of customer data solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in IT, data management, or a related discipline, with proven experience in customer data strategy.
• Strong expertise in data governance, cloud computing, and data warehousing (AWS, Snowflake).
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Certifications in data management frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
• Experience in the financial services or payments industry.
• Proficiency with customer experience platforms such as Salesforce, Adobe, or Dynamics CRM.
