About the position

The Director of Technology Strategy & Governance is a leadership role responsible for overseeing technology strategy development, IT architecture, and governance within a leading health insurance company. This hybrid position requires collaboration with executives and senior leaders to develop strategic roadmaps and manage IT governance frameworks, while also fostering a high-performing team culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of technical architects and manage technology strategy development, IT architecture, and governance.
• Lead and facilitate workshops with executives and senior leaders to develop strategic roadmaps and investment portfolios.
• Establish, manage, and optimize IT governance frameworks, including the Architecture Review Board and other technology governance efforts.
• Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing team, coaching and mentoring architects to foster collaboration and innovation.

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience in enterprise technology strategy, architecture, and governance roles.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in a leadership role focused on team building and people development.
• Experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman.
• Deep knowledge of technical infrastructure and cloud solutions, specifically AWS and Azure.
• Experience with IT governance and risk management frameworks and standards, including ITIL and COBIT.
• Experience in developing and supporting RFP/RFI processes and vendor assessments.
• In-depth knowledge of complex architecture patterns, including Microservices, Container platforms, APIs, Data engineering platforms, Data Lakes, Cloud Data Warehousing, and Robotic process automation.
