About the position

The Director of Total Rewards at Ellsworth Corporation is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive total rewards programs that align with the organization's goals. This role focuses on attracting top talent and enhancing employee engagement through competitive compensation, benefits, and recognition strategies, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes the organization's total rewards strategy (Compensation, HRIS, and Benefits), ensuring alignment with business objectives and company culture.
  • Leads and mentors a team of professionals in the areas of compensation, benefits, and HRIS.
  • Designs and manages competitive salary structures, incentive plans, and equity programs.
  • Conducts market benchmarking and pay equity analyses to maintain competitiveness and compliance.
  • Evaluates, designs, and manages employee benefit programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and other ancillary benefits.
  • Ensures compliance with legal requirements and manages relationships with external vendors and brokers.
  • Manages total rewards audits and reporting requirements, including compensation surveys and filings, benefits, and HRIS.
  • Uses data-driven insights to evaluate the effectiveness of total rewards programs and recommend improvements.
  • Provides regular reporting and presentations to executive leadership on total rewards trends and outcomes.
  • Participates in the full range of people-management responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, disciplinary actions, performance management, compensation decisions, coaching and development.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in developing and managing complex total rewards strategies.
  • Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or other similar certification or training preferred.
  • Open to occasional domestic travel.
