About the position

The Director of Total Rewards at Otis Elevator Company will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing the organization's global compensation programs and processes. This position is integral to the Total Rewards Governance & Strategy team, focusing on enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of compensation deployment within Workday. The director will collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize compensation strategies and ensure data integrity across compensation elements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the deployment of Otis' global annual compensation planning process including merit, bonus, and equity.
  • Partner with global Total Rewards colleagues to refine requirements, manage testing, and create and deploy training and education materials.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for Workday Advanced Compensation across all locations.
  • Integrate salary structures and analytics into HR business processes to enhance compensation decisions and governance.
  • Optimize Workday and ensure data integrity across compensation elements, directing design and configuration decisions.
  • Enable strategic changes to the global job framework in Workday to improve reporting and compensation initiatives.
  • Provide support and input on global compensation programs and projects, offering technical expertise for processes and analytics initiatives.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Ten-plus years of compensation experience; Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
  • Extensive Total Rewards experience, ideally in a global organization.
  • Expertise in managing compensation programs within Workday.
  • Hands-on experience with compensation programs and systems.
  • Knowledge of compensation regulatory, compliance, legislative, and market issues.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional projects with strong change management skills.
  • Excellent team, interpersonal, analysis, and presentation skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong compensation knowledge and analytical skills.
