About the position

The Director of Total Rewards at Otis will play a pivotal role in the Global Total Rewards Center of Excellence (COE), focusing on the integration and deployment of compensation programs within Workday. This position is responsible for leading the global annual compensation planning process and ensuring effective governance and efficiency in compensation decisions across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the deployment of Otis' global annual compensation planning process (merit, bonus, equity).
  • Partner with global Total Rewards colleagues to refine requirements, manage testing, and create and deploy training and education materials.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for Workday Advanced Compensation for all locations across the enterprise.
  • Integrate salary structures and analytics into HR business processes to enhance compensation decisions and improve governance.
  • Optimize Workday and ensure data integrity across compensation elements.
  • Direct compensation-related design and configuration decisions, including plan configuration and eligibility.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to ensure data governance.
  • Enable strategic changes to the global job framework in Workday to improve reporting, compensation, and staffing initiatives.
  • Provide support and input on global compensation programs and projects.
  • Provide technical expertise to inform processes, projects, reporting, and analytics initiatives within Total Rewards.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance or related field required; master's degree preferred.
  • Ten-plus years of compensation experience; Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
  • Extensive Total Rewards experience, ideally in a global organization.
  • Expertise and experience managing compensation programs within Workday.
  • Hands-on, operational, and design experience with compensation programs and systems.
  • Expertise with compensation regulatory, compliance, legislative, and market issues.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional projects, including strong change management, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent team, interpersonal, analysis, and presentation skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills critical to communicate across the organization.
  • Strong compensation knowledge and analytical skills.
