About the position

The Director of Total Rewards at Otis will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing the organization's global compensation programs and processes. This position is integral to the Total Rewards Governance & Strategy team, focusing on enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of compensation deployment through Workday. The director will lead the annual compensation planning process, collaborate with HR technology teams, and ensure data integrity across compensation elements while providing technical expertise for various compensation-related initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the deployment of Otis' global annual compensation planning process (merit, bonus, equity).
  • Partner with global Total Rewards colleagues to refine requirements, manage testing, and create and deploy training and education materials.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for Workday Advanced Compensation across all locations.
  • Integrate salary structures and analytics into HR business processes to enhance compensation decisions.
  • Optimize Workday and ensure data integrity across compensation elements.
  • Direct compensation-related design and configuration decisions, including plan configuration and eligibility.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for data governance.
  • Support and provide input on global compensation programs and projects.
  • Provide technical expertise for processes, projects, reporting, and analytics initiatives within Total Rewards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or related field required; master's degree preferred.
  • Ten-plus years of compensation experience; Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
  • Extensive Total Rewards experience, ideally in a global organization.
  • Expertise in managing compensation programs within Workday.
  • Hands-on experience with compensation programs and systems.
  • Knowledge of compensation regulatory, compliance, legislative, and market issues.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional projects with strong change management skills.
  • Excellent team, interpersonal, analysis, and presentation skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
