About the position

The Director of the Transaction Management Office (TMO) at Lumen is responsible for leading and managing divestiture transactions, ensuring compliance with service level agreements, and overseeing the transition and separation lifecycle post-transaction. This role requires strategic vision, problem-solving capabilities, and effective communication with senior management and stakeholders to drive successful transaction outcomes while aligning with Lumen's business priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Execution and management of close activities for divestiture activity, including TSAs and separation management.
  • Ensure Lumen meets the requirements outlined in any agreement as scheduled, in conjunction with the VP of the Transaction Management Office.
  • Develop Transaction Plans in support of Deal Rationale.
  • Build TMO organization structure from business and deal specifics.
  • Manage to Transaction parameters and support Commercial Agreement and TSA development.
  • Manage TSA project team activities and analyze complex business problems to provide appropriate solutions.
  • Implement commercial agreement governance structure post-close and manage overall post-close engagement to stated business objectives.
  • Develop wind-down and exit strategy from governance framework and manage business objectives related to Commercial Agreements and TSA.
  • Partner with IT and business on TSA exit planning, execution, and migration activities.
  • Provide KPI and overall business reporting for engagement.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership of large, complex business transformation and system implementation programs.
  • Strong analytic, problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship skills with the ability to build effective relations with leaders and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Business operations experience including financial, budget, procurement, and personnel management.

  • Experience in a highly matrixed environment with dotted line direct reports.
  • Ability to lead through change with a consistent methodology based on facts.
