About the position

The Treasury Operations Director is responsible for overseeing cash management operations, including daily cash positioning and the processing of payments to vendors and employees. This role ensures the effective functioning of systems and processes, manages Accounts Payable operations, and represents Treasury operations in cross-functional projects. The position requires a strategic mindset and strong leadership qualities to drive high performance and maintain compliance with laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily cash management operations.
  • Monitors new banking and payments products and makes recommendations.
  • Develops and presents ad-hoc and prepared presentations to senior management on treasury operations initiatives.
  • Develops and leads a team of managers, supervisors, and analysts, providing feedback on performance and development plans.
  • Partners with Sourcing, IT, Human Resources, and other business partners to ensure payment accuracy and drive high performance from payment systems.
  • Develops and maintains internal controls for Accounts Payable, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external business partners.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 12 years of job-related experience.
  • Experience in a large-scale company.
  • Experience in regulated utility.
  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of Accounting, Auditing, Internal Controls, SOX 404.
  • Knowledge of Kyriba and SAP or other ERP Accounts Payable and Purchasing modules.
  • Experience with SAP implementation, including S4Hana.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities and ability to build and manage high-functioning teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with a successful track record of collaboration.
  • Strong knowledge of payments and treasury management principles.
