About The Position
The Director, TRICARE Health Plan (THP) will provide senior executive leadership within the Defense Health Agency (DHA), overseeing the management of TRICARE managed care and purchased care programs. This role involves strategic planning, policy development, and operational oversight to ensure the effective delivery of healthcare services to beneficiaries. The Director will coordinate activities across subordinate organizations, manage a substantial budget, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations while advocating for the goals of the Secretary of Defense.
