About the position

The Director of U.S. Consumer Acquisition and Engagement (CAE) at Mastercard is responsible for leading client loyalty programs, managing strategic planning, and overseeing marketing initiatives. This role involves building strong relationships with clients, ensuring the successful delivery of loyalty solutions, and driving program performance through effective management and oversight of cross-functional teams. The position requires a strategic mindset to identify client needs and provide innovative loyalty solutions, while also monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and conducting regular business reviews with partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead client loyalty programs including program management, strategic planning, and campaign & marketing plans.
  • Grow client business by identifying pain points and providing additional loyalty solutions.
  • Act as the primary contact for Mastercard, managing the card-linked program and maintaining relationships with partners.
  • Oversee operations involving cross-functional team members and vendors.
  • Serve as the primary contact for issue escalation and provide thought leadership for partners.
  • Manage product backlog in partnership with clients and monitor program KPIs.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with partners.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in managing merchant and consumer loyalty programs.
  • Account management experience with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preferred experience in card-linked offerings or related digital marketing.
  • Understanding of sales strategy development and sales pipeline management.
  • Ability to act with urgency and manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT).
