About the position

The US Director of Precision Medicine will lead the national lab strategy, diagnostic collaboration, and partnerships across the US market. This role focuses on enhancing diagnostic capabilities and ensuring the integration of precision medicine into clinical practice, while fostering partnerships with key stakeholders and commercial lab customers. It is an individual contributor role that involves strategic planning and collaboration with both US and Global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance and execute a comprehensive national and regional reference lab strategy to support precision medicine initiatives.
  • Identify capabilities for cooperation with national and regional reference laboratories and diagnostic lab partners.
  • Establish and maintain companion diagnostic partnerships and collaborations with diagnostic, medical device, and laboratory companies.
  • Coordinate with brand and tumor teams to integrate precision medicine into educational and promotional materials for the lab and pathology customer segment.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of diagnostic programs and partnerships, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
  • Stay current with advancements in laboratory capabilities and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences and key lab customer meetings to promote precision medicine initiatives.
  • Support biomarker strategies for relevant products and indications within oncology and relevant US brand/tumor marketing teams.
  • Lead field engagement and operations with field teams associated with precision medicine.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., biology, chemistry, medical technology).
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience, with at least 5 years in precision medicine, diagnostics, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of national reference labs and diagnostic companies.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of diagnostic technologies and precision medicine.
  • Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to diagnostics and precision medicine.
  • Experience with project management and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
