About the position

As the Global Procurement Operations Director at Micron, you will lead a regional team responsible for overseeing all procurement operations, including the Purchase Order to Pay service. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders and global procurement category teams to enhance service delivery and drive business progress. You will establish performance metrics, ensure compliance with company policies, and mentor functional leaders to develop sustainable solutions. Your strategic vision will align with corporate objectives, and you will be accountable for managing budgets and fostering a customer-centric approach in procurement operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a regional team responsible for all procurement operations.
  • Partner with multiple stakeholder groups and global procurement category teams.
  • Establish and monitor department performance metrics.
  • Oversee functional area metrics to identify and implement continual improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver strategic solutions.
  • Maintain close interaction with suppliers and internal business partners.
  • Ensure department compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Provide leadership for building and implementing department strategies, processes, and policies.
  • Mentor functional leaders through collaboration and development of successful solutions.
  • Communicate and align strategy with Procurement VP and maintain multi-year strategy roadmaps.
  • Provide advice to senior and executive management on strategic decisions.
  • Develop, communicate, and monitor department performance metrics.
  • Manage specific projects and track implementation and results.
  • Promote continuous cost reduction and quality improvement.
  • Manage conflict and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Senior level experience in procurement operations or related field.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and communication skills.
  • Experience in managing budgets and performance metrics.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
