ECS is seeking a Director- VA OIT Pursuit and Operations to work in our Remote office. This role is pivotal in building, organizing, growing, and managing our expanding IT portfolio at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). As an executive position, the Director will have significant influence within ECS and will interact directly with both the VA and ECS Leadership teams, playing a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of the business. With an extensive portfolio of work at the VA and substantial growth anticipated, this position will actively contribute to shaping growth, building and leading teams, and engaging with clients to meet and exceed their needs. The ideal candidate will be a growth-minded leader who interfaces with partners and customers to build the VA OIT portfolio. Responsibilities include supporting pursuits, including capture and proposal activities for VA OIT opportunities, leading solution sessions, and coordinating proposal planning and responses in collaboration with Corporate Business Development and Proposal teams. The Director will identify new opportunities and key stakeholders/decision-makers within VA OIT, manage a portfolio of delivery teams, and ensure efficient and effective project administration through internal coordination and utilization of program support functions. Additionally, the Director will staff and manage new VA OIT projects, providing operations and subject matter expertise (SME) support to help clients achieve their project goals and missions. The role requires the ability to analyze and manage a portfolio of profit and loss, effectively communicating findings and recommendations based on financial analysis. Leadership responsibilities include mentoring, training, and coaching program managers and task leads, actively participating in interviews and onboarding of candidates, and professionally representing ECS at client progress meetings and briefings while supporting day-to-day client relationships and communications.
