About the position

The Director, Value and Evidence for COVID Antivirals at Pfizer will play a crucial role in supporting the strategic goals of the Primary Care Division by ensuring optimal patient access to Antiviral medicines. This position involves developing and executing a global evidence generation strategy, overseeing health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), and collaborating with cross-functional teams to demonstrate the value of Antiviral medicines. The role requires flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the antiviral franchise and involves working closely with various stakeholders to foster innovation and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the evidence generation strategy for Antiviral pipeline assets.
  • Coordinate input from local country/regional teams on evidence needs and integrate this into the global evidence strategy.
  • Design and execute global HEOR studies from concept through publication.
  • Develop patient-reported outcomes strategy and incorporate endpoints into clinical trials to support global reimbursement and access requirements.
  • Lead the development of launch deliverables including value & evidence strategy and global value dossiers.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders for dissemination of HEOR materials per regulatory guidance.
  • Develop strategic partnerships and research collaborations with key external experts and healthcare policy makers.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree minimum required (e.g. MSc, MPH, PhD).
  • 9+ years of experience required with MSc/MPH/MBA degree; 7+ years with PharmD/PhD in HEOR or related fields.
  • In-depth understanding of health services research methods and tools, including health economic modeling and real-world evidence studies.
  • Knowledge of the drug development process.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to respond to multiple internal and external customers.
  • Strong project management abilities, including budgeting and vendor management.
  • Ability to influence key members of medical, clinical, and commercial teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge and experience in the Infectious Disease therapeutic area.
  • Experience with HTA organizations such as NICE, CADTH, PBAC, ICER.
