The Director, Vehicle Inventory Marketing is a senior-level product marketing professional responsible for developing and overseeing the vehicle inventory marketing strategy for CDK Global. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including positioning, packaging, pricing, messaging, content creation, and competitive differentiation for the company's vehicle inventory offerings. The Director will collaborate closely with Product Management and other product marketing leaders to enable the sales and customer success teams to effectively position these offerings as a competitive differentiator and a revenue growth enabler for both existing and new customers. In this role, the Director will be tasked with building and executing an effective go-to-market strategy. This includes market characterization, the development of the go-to-market plan, driving and delivering demand generation programs, influencing commercialization, and packaging strategies. The Director will also enable sales and customer success teams with the necessary tools and resources, while defining market requirements and business cases for product line investment. As the leading expert in positioning payment offerings, the Director will be responsible for articulating the customer value proposition clearly and effectively. Essential functions of the role include driving the overall packaging, positioning, and pricing strategy for vehicle inventory, leading the development and delivery of marketing plans, and collaborating closely with sales enablement to ensure readiness of sales and customer success teams. The Director will also work with vehicle inventory product management, product marketing, and commercialization teams to optimize the lifecycle profitability of payment offerings. Additionally, the Director will own the sales messaging strategy to ensure that all customer-facing partners deliver a consistent and succinct payments message to help achieve sales plans. The role requires the ability to present CDK offerings to external audiences, including major automotive manufacturers and large dealer groups, and to develop actionable segmentation and positioning strategies for marketing CDK vehicle inventory solutions. Monitoring key financial metrics related to the health, growth, and profitability of the offerings is also a critical responsibility.
