About the position

The Director, Web Marketing Design Lead at TIAA is responsible for leading a team of UX Designers to enhance user experience across digital platforms. This role involves collaborating with various teams to implement UX strategies that align with business goals while advocating for the user perspective. The position requires strong leadership skills to mentor team members and ensure the delivery of high-quality design solutions that meet user needs and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manages strategy implementation to ensure user needs and business requirements are represented in features and functionality of the system.
• Contributes to department strategy development that ensures user needs and business requirements are represented in features and functionality of the system.
• Approves process flows, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively conceptualize and communicate high-level design strategies.
• Communicates with senior leadership to influence others to accept current practices and approaches.
• Leads complex system scope and project objectives, coordinating the activities of the team effectively.
• Manages performance of the team through regular feedback and directs the formal performance review process.

Requirements

• 7+ years of UX design and/or design management experience.
• Strong background in marketing experience design, consumer product design, and mobile platform design in an agile delivery model.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, and Miro.
• Strong team management and team building skills.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring team members.
