About the position
The Director, Web Marketing Design Lead at TIAA is responsible for leading a team of UX Designers to implement user-centered design strategies that align with business goals. This role involves collaborating with various teams, including technology, product, and marketing, to ensure the delivery of exceptional digital experiences. The position emphasizes mentoring and inspiring team members while advocating for best practices in user experience design.
Responsibilities
- Manages strategy implementation to ensure user needs and business requirements are represented in features and functionality of the system.
- Contributes to department strategy development that ensures user needs and business requirements are represented in features and functionality of the system.
- Approves process flows, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively conceptualize and communicate high-level design strategies.
- Communicates with senior leadership to influence others to accept current practices and approaches.
- Leads complex system scope and project objectives, coordinating the activities of the team effectively.
- Manages performance of the team through regular feedback and directs the formal performance review process.
Requirements
- 5+ years of UX design and/or design management experience required; 7+ years preferred.
- Strong background in marketing experience design, consumer product design, and mobile platform design in an agile delivery model.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, and Miro.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring teams, developing talent, and upgrading craft skills.
