About the position

The Director of Client Marketing at Edelman Financial Engines is a management role focused on developing and implementing marketing strategies for the Workplace business, which provides managed account solutions and financial advice within 401(k) plans. This position is responsible for setting retention and acquisition strategies for employer clients, engaging investment consultants, and leading a small team of marketers. The role requires collaboration with various departments to achieve commercial objectives and enhance client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Set and implement the retention marketing strategy for existing employer clients.
  • Set and implement the acquisition marketing strategy for new employer clients.
  • Partner with the sales organization to identify prospective clients and measure success within the pipeline.
  • Create content for relationship management and sales channels, focusing on client-facing materials.
  • Define EFE's B2B marketing technology and demand generation agenda.
  • Develop and implement an account-based demand-generation strategy.
  • Lead the creation of custom presentations and proposals for strategic opportunities.
  • Craft an engagement strategy for investment consultants to deliver thought leadership.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to develop sales materials for clients.
  • Lead a team of three professionals, mentoring them to grow into successful marketers.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relatable enterprise B2B marketing experience, preferably in financial services.
  • Demonstrated ability to build marketing strategies and campaigns within the financial services field.
  • Tangible examples of past success attracting and retaining enterprise clients with long sales cycles.
  • Understanding of client needs and collaboration with colleagues who work with clients.
  • Awareness of account-based marketing techniques and experience in institutional environments.
  • Data-driven approach to marketing strategies, integrating qualitative insights.
  • Consistent track record of partnering with sales and relationship management teams.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels.
  • Experience leading multiple projects efficiently and independently.
